Theme for Week of July 3-9 -- Hooray for the U.S.A.

My eldest son suggests a minor league baseball game, and I was thinking we could have a picnic with softball in the park.

You could make a red-white and blue dessert as a family project for the Fourth of July, like strawberries, blueberries and cream on white cake, or parfaits with those ingredients.

We could print out maps and flags for kids to color and create.

We could go to the zoo with a worksheet to fill out about animals that are indigenous to the U.S.

Post comments below with other ideas for theme related activities and outings.
