Palos Verdes Street Fair
A giant street fair with a full carnival, two live music stages, and over 200 arts & crafts booths The petting zoo and pony rides are free for children, and on Friday night, the carnival hosts a special night for teenagers. ArtQuest! Begins at the Getty Villa
The Getty Villa is a replica of an Italian villa holding gardens and exhibits from ancient Greece and Rome. The museum is generally less crowded than its sister museum. This weekend, ArtQuest! kicks off. You and your children can discover ancient poetry and make, decorate, and play your own musical instruments based on ancient designs. Be sure to get your tickets to the Villa in advance online. Sat. and Sun., 11:00 am – 3:30 pm, Pacific Palisades, free admission, parking is $15. Event details.

At the Original Farmers Market at Third & Fairfax, there will be Summer
Family Fun throughout June, July and August, offering a terrific array of free entertainment and activities especially created for families with children. Craft activities, entertainment and music for young people will take place every other Sunday, from Noon to 3 PM, starting June 12.
The Lakeshore Learning Store on Venice Blvd. in Culver City (see map, hours and directions here: http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/general_content/store_locations/storeLocations.jsp?selectedstores=all&store=002) is a great place to find fun educational supplies for your kids, but it can be a bit pricey. On the Lakeshore website there is a link for 75 free activities kids can do at home. http://www.lakeshorelearning.com/home/home.jsp. Also, I heard that the free kids' activities, previously held only on Shabbos, will be expanding to Sundays, at least at that location. Please call to confirm with them...this is second-hand info.
Up ahead for June 19th (Father's Day)--car shows in both Beverly Hills and Oxnard, and the Hatzolah Safety Fair.
