PLEASE NOTE NEW INFO!...REVISED 6/23

Please note changes below.

It looks like the consensus is that August will be too hot to do the farm, and people seem available next week, so we're moving "The Farm Week" to next week. So far, this will be next week's schedule:

Sunday afternoon (2 p.m.-ish), June 26: Beverly Hills library to learn about what to expect at the farm. My eldest son and I will be available to teach kids how to find info in the non-fiction kids stacks.

Moorpark Farm Center

Monday afternoon (12 noon-ish), June 27: Underwood Family Farm ($3.00 per person Monday-Friday. Children under 2 admitted free; see link to right of page for directions)

Wednesday afternoon, June 29: We were planning to do the dairy in Norwalk. They no longer milk the cows there, but at a farm in Chino. They do process the milk (pasteurize, bottle, etc.) in Norwalk, but Francine is graciously attempting to organize a tour in Chino for a later date. Any ideas for Wednesday? If someone has a place to do it, I could organize art projects, for example, or maybe we could go to the S. Monica Farmer's Market (http://www01.smgov.net/farmers_market/) ?

Thursday, June 30: park meetup, 10 a.m. at Playa Vista Park, where there is a lot of shade over the equipment, a good fence around the play area, lots of benches, and a cool breeze.

Hope to see you all (and meet new faces) soon!
