Korean Brush Painting Fun at LACMA

Also, the BOONE is open daily at the LACMA and there's is FREE painting room for kids & and parents! There is a fun area to explore and run around outside too!

  1. Great idea, Marion (especially because LACMA is so close to both Pico and Hancock Park)! For free access to LACMA, register your kid with NexGen when you arrive. One adult may enter for free (excluding special exhibitions) with every NexGen child member visit.

    The brush painting is with traditional Korean implements. On weekends and holidays, they usually have staggered admission every 15 mins, with a bit of instruction. It's a lot less crowded during the week.

    If you poke around the grounds at LACMA, there's a sculpture garden and free access to several cool tar pits!
